Ixion was finishing off the last bit of Heartless in the area. Not because she particularly wanted to, but because they attacked her . "I don't have a heart," she said cooly. Then, turned and sat down on the ground. Her black Nobody robe was zipped up tightly, and her sandaled shoes were dirty with the grime that coated the ruins of the mansion. Ixion sighed, throwing the braid over her shoulder and then looking out across the way to where Radiant Garden laid. She simply sat there and thought.
What if... what if... what if...
But, eventually, all of the digital girl's thoughts began to muddle and her face flushed. What was this...? Anger? It felt so constricting. It tied her chest and made her hand twitch. So, Ixion stood, grabbing the handle of Ruin and slamming it into the nearest boulder. She blinked then, staring at the blade embedded in rock.
...Anger.
She felt emotion! That was incredible. Ixion tried to bring up the sensation again, yet there was only that emptiness that constantly met her. So Ixion pried her axe out of the boulder, sighing and leaning against it. Fuck. Damn. Shit. How could that have happened? It's logically impossible.
...Yet, she WAS Ixion. Or a replica of her. So... didn't that make her -in some insane, unprovable, idealistic way- prone to Ixion's anger? It was a thought. One Ixion wished to believe.

Sent by Sai and the others to scout, Bird, in his silken robes, surveyed the area. The stillness was beautiful and unsettling. Various charms that hung from the boy's neck jingled as he stepped delicately over the remnants of stained glass art.
The boy was prepared for the environment and any dangers. His black eyes guarded by powerful UV ray-blocking shades and his mind in tune with the elements, Sai had taken hours of convincing that Bird could go out on his own.
Bird himself was not too sure of this new freedom. It was different. It also reminded him of home, when he'd hunted in the thick jungles of Callion.
And much like on Callion, he hoped fiercely that he would not find anything large or venomous or scary before he returned.

There was an uneasy calm that took over the land while Ixion stood, figuring out what her anger meant. So much so that the jingling could be heard. Or perhaps it was her enhanced hearing. Whatever the case, Ixion grabbed her war axe from the rock and yanked it out with one pull. She closed her eyes, bowed her head, and listened.
After doing that for a few minutes, Ixion turned and grabbed a nearby stone. She hurled it with petrifying accuracy into another rock, where it shattered and rained upon Bird. "I challenge you! Who, or what you are. Come out."

Owowowow. He batted away small fragments of stone that had apparently materialized above him. He looked up, trying to find a source. The ruins could be breaking above him, oh god, oh god, he had to get out...
Bird froze. That most likely wasn't small prey talking. It sounded a lot like that scary girl they'd... already killed?
<I-- I accept.> His words resonated in the minds of any organism in a ten foot radius. And he prayed that he wasn't getting himself into something dangerous.

Ixion didn't smile when he accepted. She didn't frown or get excited. She could, really, and it almost hurt to notice that. She took a step forward, "Well, then, if you accept, then come out and face me," she told whomever she was speaking to. He was hidden behind the ruins. She couldn't see through walls yet. Yet.
His voice, though, disturbed her. It was mental, not physical, and Ixion wanted to be unnerved by the fact she had a brain. Or, maybe it was just that he could pick up her electrical signals. Whatever the case, it wasn't natural. "Why did you come here?"

Ehh... ahh... <I was just looking around,> he said shyly, palming a feather-shaped charm. Why did he accept, oh, why?
A thin, careful stream of flame surging around him in several rings, Bird stepped out into the pale light and stopped. It WAS Ixion. But she was... different, somehow. Unreal. Ethereal.
<What did they do to you?> he said before he could stop himself.

Ixion wasn't phased or angered by the question, but rather replied automatically, like a machine. "When you guys killed me, they digitally recreated me in the image of Ixion." She blinked after answering, swearing mentally to herself for being so open. Ixion hefted Ruin, stepping forward. "Looking around, eh? Have you tried under the ground yet?" she asked, her face completely void of anything that'd imply humanity. She doubted he was just 'looking around'. No one came here for that anymore. He had been sent, since he didn't seem too willing to stay, and not hesitant to leave.

<Please, I don't wish to harm you.> The flame circling him wavered, as did his guard. He had no desire to fight. However, battle seemed inevitable. He waited for her to make the first move, steadying his hand to counterattack when she did.
