Kima spits up a little of his drink back into the glass from a small outburst of laughter that was quickly controlled.
"I would gladly guard you, knowing the generosity of the Underworlds Purse..." he brings himself to say "But i tend to attract more attention then one of your...stature might desire..."
Kima quickly chugs down his drink looking over his shoulder back towards the loud new comers, then returns his gaze to his new employer. "You only need lead the way, i will fallow, but the night must remain my own."

Rod coudlnt help but smile lightly at the exchange, shaking his head. He was about to warn Sai of the butter, but before he could Sai found it himself. "Maybe this might help?" Rod asked, handing towards Sai a clean cloth from one of his many, MANY pockets. It was a habit Rod had never quite been able to drop, having so many pockets.
Rod smiled back. "Mog wished to come ehre to meet up for his blind date," he replied. "So who was I to argue, you know how difficult he can be," he added with a light laugh.
"It is good to see you both again! What have you been up to? I... wow, too many questions," he corrected himself, with a sheepish smile. "But I do have one more. Mind if I sit down?"
Meanwhile, Mog could be heard in the back, making a strange sort of noise like a muffled yell. "Oh dear... seems Mogs already having his fun," Rod said with a long suffering sigh.

Hel shook her head, making the hood fall completely off. Her face jewels freely jingled now, shimmering brightly against the sun. Hel winced at the sunlight, pulling her hood back up. "I do not care of reputation. Merely protection. You may have the night if I may have your days. It is fair. From dawn to twilight, you remain mine," the princess clarified and smiled.
Hel raised one of her hands, taking off a particular large ring fashioned purely from diamond. There was no band, just a simple, large ring of the hard, clear gem, which Hel handed over to Kima. "This is the first half of your payment," she said with a smile. "A sort of contract, in case you decide I am boring."

Kima twists and turns the ring in his fingers, deciding to drop it in his pocket rather then wear the large jewel. "Sounds like a deal then..."

"Joy!" Hel said, smiling. Her wine arrived and the girl took a long sip. "So, Kima, how do you think we should begin to get me home? Are there any portals nearby? Any sort of transportation device fit for our fancy?" she inquired, tilting her head and eyeing the loud group in the corner. If Kima didn't know... She wondered if they did?
But the heat was so horrible and so draining, Hel doubted she could make the passage from here to there anyways.

kima again laughed some at the bluntness of Hel. ( no pun intended )
"im sorry, i arrived only last night...i was lucky to find this place...Im sure some locals or travelers would know how to get from place to place, but i assume vampires are not well liked here as from where i come from."

Bird nodded, taking his seat next to Sai and allowing Rod the only section on the table that was yet untouched by slobber, butter grease, or lilac-scented sweat. It was no wonder why the two bounty hunters were the only present customers, besides a gaggle of over-sixty Civil War reenactors who'd set up fort somewhere in the brush behind the inn. And that strange looking couple a few tables over was certainly intriguing, if unapproachable.
<Take your time, we are simply stopping for rest and foo--> He paused. Upon their arrival, they had not touched Candice's goods for fear of disease, let alone eat them. <Just rest. Tomorrow we leave,> he finished, though the prospect of spending another night in those rooms was unsettling. After one good look at the bed, Bird had slept sitting up, leaning against his face. Gods know what was on those walls.
Sai grabbed Bird's glass and tipped the remaining water into his mouth, his face still numb. The aftertaste was sour and vividly reminiscent of a waste dump on a prairie. Feeling sick, he distracted himself by adding, "No one asks about us here. Those big hotels, you gotta have ID. Here, we can get away with a dine-and-dash and still have munny in our pockets."
He took the cloth and wiped at his hair. Still greasy. He continued. "We're, ahh, taking hunts now, you know. Only there isn't anything in this dinky little world, so we'll hopefully we'll be lightyears away ASAP. You?"

Hel nodded, draining the last of her wine. She wondered if they accepted Penaces as currency here. Probably not. The girl looked from Kima around the small place. There were some over-talkative old men... All sweaty and greasy, worked up and flapping their lips in an over exaggerated manner. It made Hel tired just looking at them, so she stood up and strode confidently over to the last group that left; the odd combination of loud, young boys.
As she walked, the princess dropped her hood and opened her cape, throwing it over her shoulders. There was actually a cooling relief of air that hit her body, though the brightness stung, making Hel's eyes water. She stopped before them, looking from one, to the other, to the last. Soaking in their appearances and mentally cringing. She was resorting to speaking to serfs. Gross.
"I was curious enough to inquire assistance from your small group. If you could, would you be willing to aid me in a small manner of an informal yes or no question?" Hel explained, looking back to Kima for reassurance and a bit more confidence. Mainly for energy, since she was dead tired in this heat, yet tried to make the appearance that it was completely natural.

Kima fallowed Hel with his gaze, standing and aproaching when she presented herself to the loud crowd of young men ( although appierence wise older men... ) his 5 feet made him feel small near the group, but he stood confidently and silent.

"Is there something wrong with the food?" Rod asked, genuinely innocent of its origins. "No ID's... you arent in trouble are you?" Rod asked, looking towards the pair with concern. He sighed a moment, shaking his head.
"Hunts hmmm? Interesting way to make a living there, never gets dull from what I hear. Well, at least we got to meet for a time, perhaps Mog and I can travel with you an adventure or two... once he's done anyways," Rod commented, looking towards the back as he heard a shrill scream.
"Oh the fun starts already..." he commented with a deep sigh, wishing he had brought some of his infamous happy cookies so they at least had soemthing to eat.
He blinked however as a newcomer approached. A young foreign woman. "Certainly," Rod replied quickly. "How may we help?" he asked, in his typical kind manner of things.

Hel smiled when the one with brown hair addressed her kindly. Not formally, but kindly. More than she could ask for from these deteriorated peasants. "I was wondering if any of you knew knowledge upon travel?" she replied to Rod, then glanced to Sai and Bird, giving them all a hopeful smile. "My associate and I wish to go to a far-away, predetermined area, though neither of us happen to know this area or its culture." Hel was rather ashamed to admit that last part, but didn't show it. She kept up her appearance of all-mighty, higher-than-thou status, and carried it well. Considering that that was the attitude she was taught to grow up with.

Sai and Bird glanced over at each other. Adjusting his ballcap as a bead of sweat ran down his nose, the Callinian answered first. <Actually...>
Sai interrupted him by deftly tugging on a strand of his hair without Rod noticing, and they looked as if they were concentrating very hard on something, each staring intently into the others' eyes. It was potentially awkward until the blonde man spoke. "Trouble? No, not at all. Not really."
And then there was no sun.
Well, there was a sun, sure. But it'd disappeared behind a bulky black shadow. The cool relief that passed over them was instantly replaced by a sharp intake of breath from Sai. "Oh shit," he sighed through clenched teeth.
'This is the middle-of-fuckin'-nowhere. We'd be in a big city if we wanted to hide!' He spotted a plume of smoke in the distance, the direction of the nearest... city. 'Oh. Guess they tried that, too. FUCK.'
"You know, Rod, um, on the subject of travel--"
{Where is the laptop?!} hissed Bird, his mind-broadcast coming out as static.
{I left it in the room, you think I'd carry it around?!} he shot back. He felt sick.
{YES I'D THINK YOU'D CARRY IT AROUND.} The pink-haired boy sprinted back to the room, stagging past the door from which Mog's pleas eminated.
"Uh, hold on a moment," Sai breathed, still seated. He fumbled with his bag and brought out a jar of fire motes. "You might hear a 'bang' in the next few minutes, and when that happens, we're really gonna have to discuss transportation..."

Rod hadnt really met anyone who carried themselves as this woman did. Since, of course, hed never really met any royals sort to speak. But he luckilly was always respectful. He was about to reply towards the woman, when Sai and Bird commented upon transportation as well.
"Rooood!" Mog cried out then as he burst out from the back, his fur all matted and tussled. He leapt onto Rod's shoulder then, clenching Rod's hair and yelling in his friends face with a panicked look.
"You gotta get me outta here! Shes... I..." He heard his voice again and screamed. "Aaaaah! Lets go, lets go NOW! Its horrible Rod, just... just HORRIBLE!" Mog shuddered, clencingonto Rod's shoulder for dear life.
The long suffereing mechanic inhaled deeply, and with the gentles of hands moved Mog to a position where Rod could actually speak without getting fur in his mouth. "Mam I would be honored to discuss transportation with you, but I fear it cannot be here. Far too much... chaos if you will. Would you mind if we discussed this on the move? I know its terribly rude but it seems time here has grown short..."
"Now now now! We gotta go before she emerges! Its terrible buddy! Come ooooon! Hurry up slowpoke!" Mog continued, still panicking. Rod grimaced slightly at Mog's continued panicks, wondering just how much mroe Mog bit off then he could chew...

When the sun was clouded over, Hel breathed a sigh of relief. Her constantly-bloodshot eyes closed momentarily, and she allowed herself to wipe some sweat from her gold-clad brow. Whatever made the heat disappear was welcome to stay. She rose a brow when a strange, fuzzed creature came up and clung to the man she was speaking with.
Chaos was something Hel was used to. She had delved in it her short-lived life, and didn't mind the commotion that the boys were making. Yet, her source of information seemed exhausted by it. And she didn't want him to grow too tired to speak. Hel nodded, pushing her cape over her shoulder, revealing the decorative weapons clinging to her sides. She picked Mog up by the scruff, pinching him on the bridge of the nose and frowning. "If you don't stop bubblering we might be able to understand the need to hurry, furry beast," she informed the Moogle, before setting him back beside Rod. "Good companion, I know not your name or dedication, but I will be willing to trust and accept this request to discuss this 'on the move'."
Hel glanced back to Kima, raising a brow as if to dare him to speak otherwise. She turned back to Rod, then to his other company. "But, it would be rude for any traveller to continue through without the acknowledgement of your allies," Hel added, brushing black hair from her face.

<Got it!> Bird stumbled through the doorway. His companion breathed a sigh of relief.
"We're allies. We're acknowledging you. Now cover your ears," Sai responded loudly to Hel as he riffed through the various odds and ends in his bag. His hand emerged clutching a large, sealed-off Tupperware container that glowed a dull, unpassioned red. Upon realizing they were in motion, however, the colors lit up in vibrant shades of orange and tumbled about in their plastic prison, ecstatic at the idea of escape. The box squeaked and squealed as Sai artlessly tore off the lid and grappled with a smoldering sunset orange sphere, shoving the others aside with his knuckles before popping the lid on once again.
The fire mote wailed mournfully in the blonde man's hand. "It's not like you die," he countered nastily, and then smashed the safety-glass window and chucked the sphere a good twenty-five feet out the window.
There was a faint squeak upon landing, then a great explosion that resonated in the grass and pebbles. Flames leapt to the sky not twenty feet from the inn as Bird hurriedly shoved the laptop's case into Sai's arms, ripping the baseball cap from his head and wiping sweat from his ghost-like face.
"Hot damn. Yeah, so, let's get moving. Now."
